Since our founding in 1971, the Flint Institute of Music has sought to bring the best in arts entertainment and education to Flint and the surrounding area. Comprised of the Flint Symphony Orchestra, Flint School of Performing Arts, Flint Repertory Theatre, The Whiting, and Capitol Theatre. Touching the lives of more than 300,000 individuals each year through concerts, performances, and lessons.

The efforts of the FIM wouldn’t be possible without our incredible instructors, directors, support staff, and public safety officers. This energetic, exceptional group keeps everything working in perfect harmony. For our team, it’s about more than just having a job – it’s about taking an active role in ensuring that the arts continue to thrive. Our mission: changing lives through a lifelong continuum of world-class music, dance and theatre, is at the heart of what we do every day.

If you’re looking for an environment that is creative, engaging, friendly, and fast-paced, then we’d love to hear from you. Browse our current openings and bookmark our page, as new opportunities are added regularly.
