Mike Super – Magic & Illusion
Through spectacular illusions and his own inimitable down-to-earth style and personality, Mike Super has pioneered a new form of magic that transcends the “trick.” As a finalist on NBC’s America’s Got Talent and a competitor on the season premiere of Penn & Teller Fool Us, Mike has emerged as magic’s newest celebrity, with a legion of fans numbering in the millions.
Mike Super’s life has been characterized by an obsession with and passion for magic. He has astonished millions of people with his craft. Mike’s ever-growing popularity has garnered him many prestigious awards and honors. Mike was named The Performing Arts Entertainer of the Year for two consecutive years by the International Magician’s Society (IMS) – a rare and impressive feat, considering that the award is bestowed only to those who have achieved the highest level in their craft both nationally and internationally. The criteria that the IMS voting members consider include talent, showmanship, originality, skills, and – above all – the ability to entertain. Mike shares this award with the likes of David Copperfield, Penn & Teller, Siegfried & Roy, and Criss Angel.
Mike’s many television appearances include being named the winner of NBC’s television show Phenomenon, numerous appearances on the French television show La Soirée de l’étrange, and an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Despite his many achievements, Mike humbly insists that the loyalty of his fans, who call themselves “The Superfreaks,” is the most rewarding aspect of his career.
