Jeremiah Towner and Highest Praise Gospel Choir  and Lateena Martin

Highest Praise Gospel Choir, founded in 2008, is a choir that has been assigned to reach the hearts of their peers and others through gospel music. The mission of Highest Praise is to seek, learn, and live the word of God so that they may inherit the blessings that God has in store for them, while challenging others to get to know Jesus for themselves. Lateena Martin is a classically trained, incredibly versatile professional vocalist of the highest caliber. Lateena earned her Bachelor of Music and Master’s degree in Vocal Music Performance from Michigan State University. During her undergraduate studies, Lateena’s versatility and dynamic range led her to being cast in numerous roles with the MSU Opera Theatre, including Hansel & Gretel, Trial by Jury, Orpheus and Aeneas, and the musical Nine. As a graduate student, she played Musetta in La Boheme. Mrs. Martin has performed throughout Michigan in a variety of genres and venues, including the Detroit International Jazz Festival and as backing vocalist for the legendary George Benson. Mrs. Martin has also become a sought after vocalist, performing our country’s National Anthem at numerous sporting events. Most recently, Mrs. Martin was asked to sing for Governor Gretchen Whitmer at her home for a private black history event in February 2023. Mrs. Martin has chosen a life and career devoted to the worship and ministering of the gospel through her musical gifts. She currently functions as the praise and worship leader at Kingdom Living Church where she ministers weekly, and is currently working on material for the release of her solo worship/gospel music project.

Flint Under the Stars is a concert series that spotlights local talent, held on the third Wednesday of each month under the starry dome of the FIM Capitol Theatre. This series, which fosters local artists by providing them with a professional performance experience, features a donate-what-you-wish ticket price. All proceeds benefit KidsTix, a program that expands access to the arts by providing admission to live performances for children and their families.

$10 per ticket is the recommended KidsTix donation for this concert, and we understand that some may be able to give more and some less. Every measure is appreciated, and everyone is welcome.
