Seeing Stars! Benefit is the Flint School of Performing Arts’ signature fundraising event.

For the past 28 years, this event has been vital in raising funds for the Flint School of Performing Arts tuition assistance program, ensuring that students can study music, dance, and theater regardless of their ability to pay. Last year alone, the Seeing Stars tuition assistance program awarded $230,000 to local FSPA performing arts student and their families. 60% of our enrolled families receive support.

Help us reach our $75,000 Annual Fund goal by May 31, 2025, and make big waves at Flint Repertory Theatre! Every contribution to this general operating fund helps Flint Rep continue to deliver bold performances that captivate, entertain and challenge audiences.

Local street artist Charles Boike has created a stunning 7.5 x 16’ mural celebrating the spirit of Flint Rep’s six remarkable seasons. This one-of-a-kind work of art is comprised of 264 unique 8 x 8” canvases, each one as distinctive as the imaginative productions that define Flint Rep. As campaign contributions are received, the mural will be installed piece by piece in the Elgood lobby until we reach our goal.

Here’s the fun part: your gift of $250 or more guarantees a piece of this original artwork will be yours to take home once the season campaign ends and the mural is complete. The larger your donation, the larger the art piece you’ll have to hang on your wall and the earlier you get to select your original art. Gifts of all sizes are gratefully welcome. If you give $25 or more, you’ll receive a beautiful 11 x 17” mural poster at our Season Wrap Party in June.

Donors making gifts of $100 to $249 will select their tile from among the remaining tiles at the end of the Annual Fund Campaign no later than May 2025.

Gifts of all sizes are welcome. All donors making gifts of $25 or more to Flint Repertory Theatre’s Annual Fund campaign will receive an 11 x 17 poster of the illustration at the Season Wrap Party.

Karen Mills Jennings Flint Youth Ballet Support Fund

Named in honor of Karen Mills Jennings upon her retirement in June 2023 recognizing 43 years of service as faculty member, artistic director of The Nutcracker and FSPA Dance Department chair.

The Fund supports students participating in the full FSPA dance curriculum and Flint Youth Ballet, providing resources to meet the following needs:

  • Pointe shoes, ballet shoes or character shoes
  • Dress code attire or attire needed for FYB/Nutcracker performances
  • Financial assistance for auditioned summer dance intensives
  • Financial assistance with travel and audition fees for summer dance intensive auditions

Gifts of all sizes are welcome – every dollar makes a difference!
