Ally Jackson
Returning to the symphonic stage, after her debut at the Holiday Pops in 2018 and 2023, Mid-Michigan’s own Ally Jackson is proof that big things come in small packages! Standing a diminutive 4 feet 10 inches tall, Ally Jackson is a high-heel wearing, gospel singing powerhouse. A mix of sass and class, this 28 year-old draws musical inspiration from great vocalists of all genres, developing her unique style from elements of rock, country, and musical theater as well as gospel. In the tradition of her musical heroes CeCe Winans, Charity Gayle, and Natalie Grant, Ally has big dreams of spreading the good news of the Gospel through music to a generation and a world in need.
A 2014 graduate of Davison High School, Ally grew up as the only child of musical and ministry-minded parents. Her life revolved around music, performance and church at World Outreach Center, where gospel music became her spiritual and musical foundation. As a performer, she captured the attention of audiences all across eastern Michigan as a lead vocalist and scholarship winner for 3rd Degree Burns; a Lapeer based non-profit classic rock band, youth mentorship and scholarship program. She went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree in vocal performance with a music business emphasis in 2018 from the musically prestigious Belmont University in Nashville. Her time at university brought many accomplishments such as winning the 2017 Commercial Vocal showcase. It also continued to bring her opportunities post-graduation as well, including singing background vocals for country artist’s Kane Brown and Mickey Guyton in the 2020 and 2021 nationally broadcasted Academy of Country Music Awards in Nashville.
Ally’s new home in Nashville, Tennessee has opened new and exciting doors for her as an artist. She is currently contracted as a session singer for many recording studios throughout the city, laying vocal tracks for artists such as Journey’s Jonathan Cain, and the Gaither Vocal Band, as well as commercial projects from all genres including church choral demos, video game soundtracks, and the sequel movie to “A Christmas Story.” Ally is also a contracted worship leader for First Baptist, Atlanta, GA and has been privileged to participate in singing background vocals for and with Francesca Battistelli, Third Day’s Mac Powell, Avalon, and David Phelps during her time there. In Christmas’ past, Ally participated in the nationally televised Nashville Holiday Musical Special as a featured artist as well. Currently, Ally has released two singles on all streaming platforms: a Christmas cover tune and an original song stemming from both gospel and country roots. She is still involved in songwriting, has plans of recording more solo projects in the future, and has created several music videos to visualize on social media.
As she continues to build her career as a Christian and gospel worship artist performing for churches, ministry conferences and Christian artist tours, Ally also sticks close to her roots in attending and volunteering at Grace Church, Nashville, TN. Under the leadership of Brownsville revival worship leader Lindell Cooley, Ally has gained more knowledge and understanding of how to thrive in the culture we live in and stay grounded in her faith. Without her lifestyle as a believer taking precedence above all else, Ally would not be the musician and person she is today.
