About the Opportunity
Under the supervision of the Senior Manager of Audience Services, the Front of House Manager provides support for front-of-house operations, including house staffing. Provides the highest level of customer service to patrons to all of the Flint Institute of Music Buildings.

Responsibilities
• Assist in hiring, orienting and training new front-of-house staff members; including volunteers and youth ushers.
• Assist in scheduling the front-of-house team, including communicating with the Valet, Flower sponsor, custodial, and security teams.
• Manage front-of-house services for all performances, including those at the James H Whiting Auditorium, Repertory Theatre, MacArthur Recital Hall, and Capitol Theatre, as well as various external events.
• Ensure Yesplan is updated for all performances and/or events.
• Address patron inquiries and/or complaints during performances.
• Reset spaces following performances.
• Complete incident reports as needed.
• Assist other abled patrons as needed.
• Assist in concessions as needed.
• Manage front-of-house team including evaluations and emergency preparedness.
• Monitor supply budget and request purchases accordingly.
• Maintain linens including laundry and storage in preparation for each event.
• Before and after each event, verify the cleanliness of the building and communicate with the custodial team as necessary.
• Collaborate with Rental Manager to go over front-of-house needs for rentals.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience preferred.
• Two or more years of experience, specifically in the areas of patron services, event coordination, or customer service.
• Point-of-Sale experience
• Theatre management experience, a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work independently and, in a team, setting with varied personalities.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Good organizational skills and capable of multi-tasking with attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Compensation and Benefits:
• Competitive Pay starting at $38,000.00 per year.
