Music Class Instructor
About the Opportunity
The Flint School of Performing Arts (FSPA) is looking for a driven, dedicated, and enthusiastic Music Class Instructor. Under the direction of the FSPA Director, the Music Class Instructor provides instruction for children K-3 in general Music classes for FSPA’s partnership with the Flint Cultural Center Academy.
Responsibilities
- Teach classes using the FSPA curriculum and, in collaboration with the FCCA Liaison and other faculty, expanded methods and materials.
- Attend required FSPA or FCCA meetings, trainings and professional development sessions.
- Work with staff, students, families, and stakeholders with diverse and wide-ranging cultural, social, and economic backgrounds.
- Communicate regularly with the FSPA/FCCA Liaison, Program Director and staff to ensure that student and program needs are met.
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in the field and related teaching experience preferred
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal, written, and computer skills
Compensation and Benefits Information
- Competitive Pay range of $34-$59 per hour with a $20 per hour admin rate.
- 401k Eligible
- Non-exempt
