Billy Petty is a classical and pop vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, MD (music director), conductor, clinician, producer, and studio engineer/musician (billypetty.com). Billy is originally from the Detroit area, but has called Saginaw, MI home for the last 8 years. He has been leading music in churches since he was 15 years old and has gone on to consult and train music leaders, musical artists, teams, bands, and vocal and instrumental ensembles all over the country. Billy has a degree in Classical Voice Performance from Oakland University in Auburn Hills, MI. He has been a soloist and instrumentalist for pop-modern projects, crossover music, classical works, vocal jazz groups, and has appeared as a soloist with various symphonies, along with chorales, ensembles, and pop-modern projects. His most recent appearances have been at the Temple Theatre in Saginaw, MI as a vocal soloist with the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra and also with the Saginaw Choral Society (televised). In his full-time job, Billy serves as the Program Director at the Wound Treatment Center for MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland, MI. And in and through his music career, and maybe most notably, he has appeared multiple times as a vocal soloist and an MD at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in NYC. One of the things he is most proud of recently is the release of his first solo instrumental album called “Without Words” that he dedicated to his beautiful daughter, Charlotte. You can find that on all streaming platforms online (Apple iTunes, Spotify, Pandora, etc). Ultimately, Billy thanks God for the gift of music and how the language of music speaks like nothing else can. He is so grateful to share this holiday season with you all and to be a part of this weekend’s inspiring performance!
