To become part of any of the Flint School of Performing Arts’ ensembles, you just need to take a placement audition.

Winter Production
Grades: 6-12
When: Monday, September 25
Time: 4:30-6:30pm
Where: Flint School of Performing Arts – Room 174
Rehearsals: M/W/F 4:30-6:30pm – October 9 through December 8
Performances: Friday, December 8 at 7pm and Saturday December 9 at 2pm
Spring Production
Grades: 6-12
When: Wednesday, February 21
Time: 4:30-6:30pm
Where: Flint School of Performing Arts – Room 174
Rehearsals: M/W/F 4:30-6:30pm – March 11 through May 10
Performances: Friday, May 10 at 7pm and Saturday May 11 at 2pm
Concerto Competition
Would you like to be a soloist in concert with the Flint Youth Symphony Orchestra or Flint Youth Wind Ensemble? Advanced music lesson students (grades 9-12) may enter the biannual Concerto Competition. The next competition will be held in October 2026.
