Together in Tune: FIM joins Cultural Center Partners to Celebrate 100 Years of Community with the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation
FIM is proud to honor the 100-year anniversary of the Mott Foundation during their Family Fun Days with two days of live music and shared experiences on an outdoor stage. Located on the Flint Cultural Center Campus, featured performances include the Flint Symphony Orchestra, Mama Sōl, El Ballet Folklórico, the Sphinx Organization, along with many more talented artists and community organizations sharing the stage.
Friday, June 5 | 6–8 PM
The celebration begins with an evening concert celebrating performing arts instruction and mastery, with performances by faculty from the Flint School of Performing Arts and members of the Flint Symphony Orchestra Brass ensemble.
Saturday, June 6 | 12–6 PM
Saturday’s program showcases the sounds of our city, and honors Music Around Town, a longtime initiative supported by the Mott Foundation, expanding access through free concerts and neighborhood performances. We’ll bring together many of Flint’s most beloved cultural partners for an afternoon of continuous performances. From choirs and orchestras to dance, theater and community ensembles, the showcase reflects the diversity and collaboration that define our arts community.
In the event of inclement weather, performances will move to Whiting Auditorium and/or MacArthur Recital Hall.
