Rachel Green has been a trumpet instructor for the Flint School of Performing Arts since May 2023. She received her Bachelor’s in Music Education from Central Michigan University where she participated in many ensembles the university provided such as the Central Michigan Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Central Michigan University Orchestra, the Meliora Brass Quintet, and many more.

In the Flint area, when she attended Mott Community College, she participated also within the Mott Community College Concert Band, Flint Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Flint Youth Symphony Orchestra and was a pit orchestra trumpet player for a couple of shows with the Flint Community Players.

More recently, Rachel has been a member of the Saginaw Eddy Concert Band and starting in Fall 2023 she will play with the Genesee Wind Symphony.

Rachel has previously taught 6-12 band at Montabella Sr/Jr High School under Chris Gormley and is now a music teacher at Pinckney Community Schools near the Ann Arbor Area.

Her primary teachers of trumpet include Jean Murdock, Chris Hall, Eduardo Farias, and Neil Mueller who have motivated her to be the trumpet player and music educator she is today.
