Rachel Green has been a trumpet instructor for the Flint School of Performing Arts since May 2023. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Central Michigan University, where she participated in many ensembles, including the Central Michigan Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Central Michigan University Orchestra, and Meliora Brass Quintet.

In the Flint area, she participated in the Mott Community College Concert Band, Flint Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Flint Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the pit orchestra for Flint Community Players productions.

Currently, Rachel performs with the Saginaw Eddy Concert Band, Genesee Wind Symphony, and the Southeastern Michigan Wind Ensemble. 

She has been a music teacher for Pinckney Community Schools since 2023 and for the Michigan State University Community Music School in Detroit since 2025. 

Her primary trumpet instructors include Jean Murdock, Chris Hall, Eduardo Farias, and Neil Mueller, who have motivated her to be the trumpet player and music educator she is today.
