Jessica McCormack is an active percussionist based in the Flint area. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Percussion Performance from the University of Michigan-Flint. She is a founding member of the percussion ensemble, Third Avenue Percussion and is a full-time member of the Genesee Wind Symphony. Jessica has played with many groups in Michigan, including the East Shore Wind Symphony, Shoreline Music Society, and The Steelheads. She has also been a featured xylophone soloist with the Genesee Wind Symphony, the Genesee Valley Concert Band and the Saginaw Eddy Band, and has performed with jazz, steel drum and percussion ensembles at the Detroit Jazz Festival and PASIC. In addition to teaching percussion at the FSPA, Jessica teaches elementary music for the FCCA and the drumline at Oxford High School.
