Gina Morris-Cicalo came to reside in Flint after teaching and working in the Dramatic Arts in Chicago, Illinois and grew up outside of Detroit, Michigan. Gina is both a Huron and Eagle alumni of Eastern Michigan University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Communications and Theatre Arts and Education, Masters in Theatre Arts, and Master of Fine Arts in Drama and Theatre for the Young. While attending EMU Gina competed in Forensics, worked on virtually every stage and tech crew, presented at IPay and Graduate Research Conferences, and was awarded numerous grants as a director for both stage and film projects. While teaching with the Flint Community Schools, Ms. Morris-Cicalo contributed to the Michigan Arts Education Instruction and Assessment (MAEIA) through assessment development and presentations for instructors and was awarded Saginaw Teacher of the Year and shared in the Innovation Award from the Flint Education Foundation. In addition to her teaching with the FSPA, Gina remains involved with various community and educational theatre organizations. Her favorite role is that of spouse to Vince and mom to Rocco.
