Saxophone. Evan Harris completed a Bachelor of Music degree at Central Michigan University (2016), and a Master of Music degree from the University of Oklahoma (2018). Evan Harris is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts at Michigan State University, where he received a University Distinguished Fellowship. In addition to performing, Evan expands the repertoire for saxophone through musical arrangements. These arrangements have seen success in various competitions and a few have been recorded. Trio Sonata Op. 1, No. 12 “La Follia” by Antonio Vivaldi arranged for saxophone quartet has been recorded by the Elysian quartet and I need your love by Calvin Harris ft. Ellie Goulding was recorded by Group 2. Evan has also given performances, and presentations of his arrangements across the United States, and Europe. Currently, Evan performs with Quartet Samod and teaches at the Flint School of Performing Arts and at high schools in the Greater Lansing area.
