Dailin Zeng
Dailin Zeng, an engaging pianist whose artistry shines with fervent passion and brilliant technique, excels as a dedicated educator. She has held graduate and teaching assistantships at the Eastman School of Music and Michigan State University. Devoted to nurturing the next generation of students, her teaching is marked by a commitment to inspiring and cultivating each student’s musical potential, both technically and artistically. With an approach that combines inspiration and expertise, she fosters a deeper connection to music, empowering students to explore their creativity and embrace their own musical journeys.
Outside of the teaching studio, Zeng’s concert journey expands continents where she has graced venues in China, the U.S., Italy, Spain, and France. Her performances resonate with a unique blend of sophistication and heartfelt expression, earning her top honors at international competitions, including First Place and the Special Virtuoso Award at the AYTIMC, First Prize at the Music International Grand Prix, and Grand Prize at the Ronald Sachs International Music Competition, etc. Zeng enchants audiences with her profound interpretations and captivating stage presence. Beyond being a passionate soloist, Zeng is also an active collaborative pianist, performing chamber music, accompanying instrumentalists and vocalists, and working with orchestral bands and choirs across the country.
Zeng’s extensive training includes a BM and MM degree from the Eastman School of Music, where she honed her craft under the guidance of distinguished pianists Nelita True and Joseph Rackers. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance at Michigan State University under the guidance of Deborah Moriarty. As a Graduate Assistant at Michigan State University, she collaborates extensively with a diverse range of musicians, providing accompaniment for performances, recitals, and masterclasses. Her versatility and artistry make her a sought-after collaborator in a wide range of musical settings.
