Cory “Co-P” Peterson is an American multi-instrument musician, producer, singer and songwriter born and raised on the north side of Flint, Michigan. Although Flint has been mostly known for it’s Water-Crisis and labeled as one of the most dangerous and worst cities to live in the U.S., he takes a positive approach and embraces that his city has made him a product of joy & pain, struggle & perseverance, as well as conviction and passion which all reflects in his musical works. Co-P’s personal philosophy is that “all negativity is trumped by positivity”. “Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit.”- Napoleon Hill. Although Co-P started out as a dancer, he became a musical “viber” with superb ears knowing exactly how he wants every sound produced, mixed and engineered. ‘Co-P’ is known by his motto “Do you feel that?” (opposed to “Do you ‘hear’ that?”). His songwriting and musical developments led him to relocating to Los Angeles California where he’s made many major connections and relationships within the music industry. Co-P has written, engineered and produced for many Major recording artists such as Korean K-Pop Superstar Nissy, Saweetie, Quavo of The Amigos, Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg, Whiz Kalifa, Will Smith, Robin Thicke, Marques Houston, Kelly Price, Melvin Riley, Life Jennings, MC Lyte, and many others including Flint’s own MC Breed, Ira “Bootleg” Dorsey and Raheen “Shoestring” Peterson of The Dayton Family.

With musical influences of Prince, Michael Jackson, Earth Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, Hall & Oates, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Babyface, Juan Atkins, Kraftwerk, Soul Sonic force, Egyptian Lover and Rick Ruben. Co-P’s music
production fuses and sprinkles an array of many different colors ranging from street-hard Hip-Hop beats to
acoustic-angelic compositions.

Future endeavors include the launching of his brand “HiddenVanilla”, which means “Unnoticed, yet Unmistakable”.
