Harp, Harp Ensemble. Principal harpist with the Lansing Symphony Orchestra and the harp instructor at the Flint School of Performing Arts. In addition to her regular performances with the Lansing Symphony Orchestra, she has also performed with the Toledo, Flint, Saginaw Bay, Midland, and Ann Arbor symphony orchestras. As a recitalist, Brittany enjoys performing both solo and chamber music. Her recent chamber music performances have included the Debussy Sonata for flute, viola and harp, the Saint-Saëns Fantasie for violin and harp, the Howard Baer Introspection for bassoon and harp as well as her own transcription of the deFalla Suite Populaire Espagnole. Brittany has been featured as a concerto soloist performing Handel’s Harp Concerto in B-flat, Rodrigo’s Concierto Serenata, and Saint-Saëns’ Morceau de Concert. She has a master’s degree from the University of Michigan and an undergraduate degree from University of Arizona where she studied with professors Joan Holland, Lynne Aspnes and Carrol McLaughlin. Brittany is a mother to a fun-loving 6-year old boy and an energetic 2-year old girl.
