Andrew J. Buckley

Andrew J. Buckley teaches clarinet at the Flint School of Performing Arts. He was named the 2021 Krannert Debut Artist, and has performed in notable concert halls around the country such as Hilbert Circle Theatre, Severance Hall, and Carnegie Hall. In 2022, Andrew recorded his debut professional album, Where We Go Next, at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts with pianist Chanmi Lee and The Goodwin Avenue Trio. Andrew has appeared with local orchestras such as the Lansing Symphony Orchestra, Jackson Symphony Orchestra, Holland Symphony Orchestra, Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra, Flint Symphony Orchestra, and the Warren Symphony Orchestra. Andrew received his Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music, his Master’s in Clarinet Performance and Literature from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and recently completed his doctoral studies at Michigan State University. Buckley also serves on the faculty of Olivet College.
