Be Part of the Process:
New Works Festival is Theatre in the Making
FIM Flint Repertory Theatre’s annual New Works Festival brings thrilling new works by some of American theatre’s most compelling playwrights and composers. After a week of workshopping, these new plays and musicals will be presented as staged readings. Patrons have the opportunity to meet the creators and experience these new works before anyone else, making them a crucial part of the theatre-making process.
In the last year, four New Works Festival readings premiered at
Flint Rep:
The Magnificent Seven by Gordon Leary and Julia Meinwald
The Future is Female… by Nandita Shenoy
‘Rain on Fire by Karen Saari
Into the Side of a Hill by James Anthony Tyler
The New Works Festival will feature readings for five new plays the weekend of April 26-28 and it is free to attend with registration. At least one of the readings from this year’s New Works Festival will be featured in Flint Rep’s 2024-25 season—see it before it hits the stage!
