Shelby R. Seeley is a director and new work developer from “Downriver” Michigan. She is thrilled to return to Flint Repertory Theatre, with past credits including Flint Rep on the Road’s The Birds; Tragedy Sound, Funny Like HAHA (readings); Death of a Salesman, Wrong River, Happy Days (Assistant Director); and The Future is Female (Playwright’s Assistant). She is Producing Artistic Director at Theatre NOVA, where she directed In Search of the Mothman and Death of a Driver. Other directing credits include the 48th Samuel French [OOB] Short Play Festival, Open Book Theatre, BoxFest Detroit, Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre, and more. From 2017-23, she served as Director of Theatre at Patrick Henry Middle School. Briana O’Neal is a stage manager, director, and designer. She is a proud graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts and Political Science. Briana is passionate about creating connection and fostering community through the arts, and strongly believes in the power of live theatre to stretch our understanding of the world around us. Briana is a Producing Artistic Director and the Resident Stage Manager at Theatre NOVA in Ann Arbor. Some of her favorite credits include directing Kayak, What the Constitution Means to Me, Doctor Moloch and Kairos; stage managing Death of a Driver, Apple Season, The Language Archive, and Sanctuary City. She loves helping bring new plays to life and is so grateful to be a part of the New Works Festival!

 

Anthony Jordan (AJ) Dagenais (he/him) is a fifth year student studying Theatre Management and Communications at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Mack Alexander (He/They) is honored to be a part of the Flint Repertory Theatre’s New Works Festival! Mack is an actor & singer from Chicago, most recently seen in The Little Mermaid, Guys & Dolls, and Fiddler on the Roof at Drury Lane Theatre. They also have been honored to have been a company member and guest music director with Sing to Cycle, a fundraiser for the AIDS Lifecycle in California, from 2022-2025. Mack graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University in 2021 and is currently represented by Shirley Hamilton, Inc. “Biggest thanks to my family, my besties, and my love. Dorian O’Dell is a multidisciplinary artist based in Detroit, MI. He recently earned a BFA in acting from Wayne State University in addition to pursuing his love for all forms of art and science. He is tremendously grateful to share the stage with and uplift their fellow trans creators, and hopes to see more Michigan companies follow suit.
