David Guster (Allen) is currently a senior at the University of Michigan-Flint, majoring in Theatre Performance. Born and raised in Flint, he had the privilege of being a Flint Youth Theatre (FYT) student from 2009-2018. And he is excited to be making his return to Flint Rep after appearing onstage in their 2020 production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (Aide Williams) and playwriting for 2021’s Flint Mural Plays. You might have also seen him in a handful of UMFlint shows with some of the most notable being Pride & Prejudice (Papa Benet), Antigone (Student Activist/Chorus), and David Ives’s The Liar (Dorante). As of recently, you can catch him in BET/Branch Out Productions’ Block Party, currently streaming. As a former FYT student, he is looking forward to this full circle moment of being able to transition into a young adult in the same space he grew up in.
