Michael Kelly
Michael Kelly (Wally Carmichael) has been in over fifty stage productions playing such roles as Big Daddy, Falstaff, Prospero, Oberon and Tevye. He has appeared in several Flint Rep shows including The Chairs for which he won a Wilde Award. He also had featured roles in several films including Alleged and Half Dead Fred. Kelly has performed as narrator with the Flint Symphony Orchestra and other musical performances. Beyond the stage, Kelly has been active in politics and community serving in numerous positions including as a member of the presidential Electoral College. An active writer and editor, Kelly has published over a thousand articles with interviews in media like New York Times and BBC World Service. A U.S. Army veteran, Kelly earned a BA from Notre Dame and MA from Wayne State. He served as Executive Director of Public Information for Mott Community College and lives with his wife, Kay, in Flint.
