Shane Cinal (Scenic Designer) is a scenic designer, artist and educator who enjoys developing a thoughtful world through scenery and innovation for theatre. With his passion for history, folktales, and people’s history in general, Shane strives to create an environment for the world of the narrative. He is excited and honored to collaborate with Flint Rep, where he has designed the environment for such acclaimed shows such as The Boatman (Wilde Award winner), Assassins, Into the Woods, and the evocative One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (Wilde Award Winner) He has a strong background in new and conceptual works for theatre and opera and has designed to much acclaim, nationally. Shane holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and in History from Indiana University-Bloomington and received his Masters of Fine Arts in Scenic Design from the Ohio State University.
