Michele LaNoue
Michele LaNoue is originally from the Houston area. She received a Masters of Music in Clarinet Performance from Michigan State University College of Music, and a Bachelors of Music in Clarinet Performance from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Michele joined the faculty of the Flint School of Performing Arts in September of 2017, where she now serves as the Woodwind and Brass Department Chair. She is also on the faculty at the University of Michigan – Flint.
In addition to teaching, Michele is also an active performer. Establishing an orchestral career throughout Michigan, she has performed with Orchestras like the Flint Symphony, Jackson Symphony, Kalamazoo Symphony, and Lansing Symphony Orchestra. In June of 2018, Michele performed in Limonest, France as part of a collaborative commission project between the University of Michigan – Flint, The Flint Institute of Music and the Conservatoire de Limonest. She has also performed at the Vianden International Music Festival in Luxembourg, and the Orford Music Academy outside Montreal. Michele currently resides in Royal Oak, Michigan with her family.
