We are thrilled you have applied to audition for the FIM Flint Symphony Orchestra. We are pleased to invite you to attend the audition.
All auditions will take place at FIM Whiting Auditorium, 1241 East Kearsley Street, Flint MI 48503. Click here to view on Google Maps.
The Audition Repertoire for each instrument is available for download at Auditions – Flint Institute of Music (thefim.org)
Should you have any questions, or, if your plans have changed and you will no longer be auditioning, please let us know as early as possible by emailing: auditions@thefim.org.

Please note the following audition dates and times for each instrument:
- Second Flute: Sunday, October 13, 2024 @ 6:00 pm
- Third Oboe/English Horn/Utility: Sunday, October 13, 2024 @ 2:00 pm
- Principal Horn: Monday, October 14, 2024 @ 7:00 pm
- Third Trumpet: Monday, October 14, 2024 @ 3:00 pm
- Section Violin: (4 First and 3 Second Violin positions): Friday, October 11, 2024 @ 2:00 pm
- Section Viola: (3 positions): Saturday, October 12, 2024 @ 1:00 pm
- Section Bass: (2 positions): Saturday, October 12, 2024 @ 3:00 pm
