Joey Urgino (Ensemble/Male Cover) is excited to retrace his theatrical roots at the Elgood Theatre, where he first experienced the magic of theatre as an 8th grader as Matthew in The Geranium on the Windowsill Just Died… He’s since been privileged to bring diverse characters to life, from the valiant Percy in The Lightning Thief to the charming Rapunzel’s Prince in Into the Woods at UNC Greensboro. His portrayals of Bethge in Bonhoeffer and Redvers in Private Jones at The New Musical Labs have solidified his artistry. An incoming junior BFA Musical Theatre major, Joey remains grounded by the support of his family. He’s deeply grateful to the director, cast, and crew for their guidance and mentorship, and to Michael Lluberes for crafting spaces where captivating stories can come to life in Flint.
