FIM Flint Symphony Orchestra is spreading holiday cheer once again with its beloved tradition of Holiday Pops: Home for the Holidays! This heartwarming event has been a cherished tradition for more than 20 years and will take place on Dec. 16, 7 p.m. at FIM Whiting Auditorium. It’s an occasion that captures the spirit of the season and promises to create new magical moments for everyone who attends.

At Holiday Pops, you can revel in a delightful blend of traditional and contemporary Christmas music, as well as lively and festive songs that will lift your spirits. It’s a musical mosaic that embodies the spirit of the holidays and will surely warm your heart, making your holiday celebrations extra special.

This event is extremely popular and is always completely sold out, so audiences are encouraged to purchase their tickets early. Just like The Nutcracker, Holiday Pops has become a cherished family tradition for many. The performance will also feature guest vocalist Ally Jackson, a talented musician from Davison, Mich. who draws inspiration from a wide range of musical genres, including gospel, rock, country and musical theater. She’s influenced by artists like Yolanda Adams, Natalie Grant and Martha Munizzi, and her performance promises to be one of the highlights of the evening.

Guiding the show will be conductor Abdiel Vázquez, a versatile musician known for his work as a conductor and pianist. Born and raised in Mexico, he has made a name for himself in the classical music world through his symphonic and operatic work, solo piano recitals, collaborations with renowned singers, and his role as an educator worldwide.
