Accessibilty
Please make arrangements for accessible seating and any of the services listed below with your Patron Services Representative at the time of ticket purchase. Accessible seating is available for the patron and one companion. These tickets must be purchased by phone or in person. Due to fire code laws, wheelchairs and walkers are only allowed in the accessible seating area and cannot be parked in the aisles.
Accessible Seating
The beautiful and historic Capitol Theatre presents some unique accessibility challenges. If you are attending an event at the Capitol Theatre, it is strongly recommended that you discuss your accessibility needs with your Patron Services Representative before arrival.
- The balcony is NOT accessible by elevator. Because of this, wheelchair-accessible seating is at Orchestra level only.
- The balcony is up two flights of stairs (21 stairs), with an additional 15 steps down to the seating area.
- Restrooms are available on each level (basement, orchestra and balcony). The basement is accessible by elevator.
Assisted Listening Devices
Assistive listening devices are available at no charge during events at Capitol Theatre. A driver’s license, state-issued ID card or another form of security deposit is required. These devices are available at the main bar located in the arcade lobby on the orchestra level.
ASL Interpreters
To request an ASL interpreter at a performance, please contact FIM Ticket Center at least two weeks ahead of time so an interpreter can be provided. All requests are subject to artist approval and the availability of an interpreter. Please ask about our special ASL discounted rates at the time of ticket purchase.
Service Animals
Service animals are welcome in FIM venues.
Familiarization Tours
Familiarization tours are offered to all patrons. Take a tour of the seating area and facilities before purchasing tickets. Guided tours for the visually impaired are available by appointment. Contact FIM Ticket Center to schedule your tour.
