Jay Allen is a singer-songwriter originally from Cedar Falls, Iowa, who was influenced by both rock and country music growing up. You may recognize him from his appearance on Season 22 of The Voice in 2022, where he performed Cody Johnson’s “‘Til You Can’t” for his Blind Audition and received chair turns from Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. Jay was also named Favorite Competition Contestant at the 2022 Country Now Awards and featured in Music Mayhem Magazine’s “2023 Artists to Watch.”
Though his time on The Voice brought him recognition, it was his 2018 hit “Blank Stares” that really put him on the map. The song is a tribute to his mother, who suffered from early-onset Alzheimer’s, and it went viral on Facebook, reaching over 500 million views. As a result of his advocacy efforts for the Alzheimer’s Association, Allen has been involved with several international events, including the Rita Hayworth Gala, raising more than $100 million for the Alzheimer’s Association. He has also received numerous accolades, including The Caregiver Award from the National Alzheimer’s Association. Because of his ongoing philanthropic efforts, Jay was recently invited to the White House to appear at an event in support of Joining Forces – an initiative started by the First Lady.
