Title:                   Flint Youth Theatre House Manager
Status:                Part Time, Non-exempt
Supervisor:         Operations Director
  • Manages the public spaces and the audience during public performances, special events and rentals
  • Administers facility opening procedures for performances, rentals and special events
  • Manages volunteer ushers in the seating of audiences for performances
  • Sells lobby concessions during events, as needed
  • Communicates with Box Office staff and production stage managers to facilitate successful and timely start of performances
  • Complete reports after all performances, special events and rentals
  • Implements emergency and evacuation procedures during performances, if needed
  • Secures and alarms facility at end of performances, in coordination with stage manager
  • Participate in FYT and FIM special events, as requested
  • Attends FYT staff meetings, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Talent for dealing with the public and volunteers
  • Ability to maintain a calm and cheerful manner when under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills
  • High school diploma required, significant college credits preferred
  • Customer service experience required
  • Cash handling experience desired
