Maintenance Technician

Under the direction of the Maintenance and Special Projects Manager, the Maintenance Technician will complete facility projects within the FIM Administration and Flint Repertory building.

Responsibilities

  • As directed by the Maintenance and Special Projects Manager, ensure daily, weekly, monthly and
  • annual maintenance items are complete throughout the building.
  • Repair broken or leaking plumbing.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the HVAC systems.
  • Replace light bulbs and fixtures, as needed.
  • Replace ceiling tiles and paint when necessary.
  • Assist in maintenance of court yards.
  • Apply preventative measures to reduce risk in the future.
  • Setup/ assist with set up for events when needed.
  • Community supplies needed.
  • Meet with vendors, as directed.
  • Assist with lot security for FSO concerts, when needed.
  • Additional duties, as assigned.


Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of maintenance experience required; landscaping, a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work both in a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Positive demeanor and ability to adapt to change.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population


Compensation and Benefit Information:


  • Full time Benefit Eligible Position 35+ hours per week
